Ozark Dogs by Eli Cranor

I had this book on my TBR list for quite a while, and it was worth the wait. 

Ozark Dogs takes place in a small town in Arkansas. Jo is a senior in high school and was raised by her grandfather Jeremiah, who was a Marine Sniper in Vietnam who now runs a junkyard. Jo’s father is doing life in prison for murder. Jo wants to be a regular girl, but her grandfather watches over her every move to keep her safe. 

There is a feud with the family of the man that Jo’s father killed that has been going on since Jo was a baby. And they will stop at nothing to get revenge. 

The plot twists are great and there are quite a few unexpected turns that will blow your mind. 

Eli Cranor is a great writer, and this book was just as good as Don’t Know Tough. He also has a new book out now titled “Broiler.” I usually wait for the paperback to come out but I might have to get my hands on a copy of Broiler sooner than later.
