Coming soon, I will release my short story titled “Roy’s Redemption.” I will release a chapter of it every Friday for the next eight weeks. It’s a short story about a hunting dog. Initially, I thought I would write about a thousand words, but it quickly morphed into ten thousand words. Way too much to put out at once. 

I finished Hondo by Louis L’Amour a few weeks ago, and I liked the dog Sam. Then I dived into the dog world and thought about Old Yeller and Hank the Cowdog. Many friends back home have hog hunted for most of my life using dogs, and I’ve always heard their stories, and I figured I could write something up. So this Friday, I will release Chapter 1 of Roy’s Redemption, which will run for eight weeks. Each Chapter will be available on my website at www.dustincarter512.com.
